Westwood Country Club in Rocky River, Ohio, seeks a Golf Course Superintendent to lead its maintenance department and elevate course conditions. The role demands a hands-on, results-driven leader with passion for exceptional playability and member experience.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive turf management knowledge, GCSAA certification, and pesticide licensing, plus strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with the General Manager and club leadership.

Qualifications

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in turf management or a related field.
• Preferred: 3+ years as a Golf Course Superintendent; 8+ years in senior management at premier facilities.
• Preferred expertise in managing creeping bent grass on USGA-spec greens and cool-season turf in similar climates.
• Professional licenses for pesticide applicator and GCSAA certification

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all operational aspects of the Golf Maintenance department.
• Foster environment of open dialogue and strong working relationships with club management.
• Develop and implement agronomic, water, soil, and environmental management programs.
• Communicate with membership to educate about agronomic practices and infrastructure needs.
• Oversee budgeting and capital projects related to course improvements.
