Job summary

Legendary Run Golf Course in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead our turf management team and uphold top playing conditions. The role oversees day-to-day course maintenance, budgets, and agronomic programs, coordinating with the General Manager during tournaments and peak play times.

Candidates should have strong leadership, budgeting, and communication skills, plus 5+ years in golf course management and a turfgrass background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in golf course management, 3+ in supervisory role.
• Certification from a turfgrass association (GCSAA) preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory, and cost control.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of turfgrass science, irrigation, pest management, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and landscaping.
• Develop agronomic programs for turf health, pests, irrigation, and water use.
• Supervise maintenance staff: hiring, training, scheduling, performance.
• Oversee maintenance equipment operation, repair, and upkeep.
• Create and manage budgets for maintenance operations.
• Coordinate with General Manager around tournaments and events.
• Monitor irrigation systems and ensure efficient water use.
• Inspect turf quality, drainage, and aesthetics for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and club policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with members and guests.
