Job summary

Litmus is building the data foundation for industrial AI, enabling real-time data access from machines, systems, and sensors at the edge. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop Golang southbound connectors to PLCs and OT devices, tackling protocols like OPC-UA and Modbus while ensuring reliability and scalability in real-world environments.

You’ll work across teams to shape integration solutions, contribute to open-source projects, and impact product trajectory as Litmus scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience developing software integrations, connectors, or drivers for PLCs and industrial control systems with protocols: OPC-UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET.
• Strong proficiency in Golang.
• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts, real-time communication, and industrial automation environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop primarily Golang-based southbound connectors that communicate with PLCs and industrial control systems using protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and DNP3.
• Implement robust error handling and fault-tolerance mechanisms for OT environments.
• Troubleshoot and optimize connector performance across diverse industrial environments.
• Design and implement testing, diagnostics, logging, and monitoring for communication issues.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, OT/Controls Engineers, and other Software Engineers to deliver high-quality integration solutions.
• Contribute to open-source projects and share expertise.
