Job summary

VLink is seeking a Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Golang and/or Java in a polyglot environment. You will build RESTful APIs and gRPC services, contribute to architecture decisions, and ensure performance and reliability across distributed systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage Docker/Kubernetes, and work with SQL/NoSQL databases in cloud environments. VLink emphasizes innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years IT experience (consulting experience preferred).
• Strong hands-on experience in Golang.
• Strong experience with Go expertise.
• Experience building REST APIs and/or gRPC services.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang and/or Java (Spring Boot).
• Build clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
• Write scenario-based tests (Cucumber or similar frameworks).
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions.
• Build scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based architectures.
• Integrate with internal platforms and third-party services.
• Work with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
