Job summary

Brightfield seeks a Senior Go Engineer to lead delivery of Go services powering the TDX platform. You will design, build, and operate APIs and data access paths, ensuring reliability and scalability as demand grows.

You will implement asynchronous processing, instrument with Datadog, and share robust service patterns across teams. The role emphasizes production reliability, on-call participation, and mentoring other engineers while contributing to AI-assisted development practices and code

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 5+ years building and operating production services in Go
• Strong proficiency in Go concurrency and scaling real-world workloads
• Experience designing for partial failure with timeouts, retries, and idempotency
• Experience building horizontally scalable services behind auto-scaling infrastructure
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, able to read query plans

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Go services powering Brightfield's core APIs and data access paths
• Own reliability, performance, and scalability as traffic and data grow
• Build durable asynchronous processing with queues and streams
• Enhance observability with Datadog: logging, metrics, tracing, health signals
• Develop shared Go packages and service patterns with clear versioning
• Debug production issues and participate in on-call rotations
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
• Contribute to AI-assisted software development practices and reviews
