Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Typically 10+ years experience developing production software, including distributed or infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and owns Go microservices and Kubernetes controllers/operators for cluster networking, network infrastructure management, and software distribution.
• Develops host-level Linux networking software that configures interfaces, addressing and routing for highly available access over IPv4/IPv6.
• Automates configuration and lifecycle management of data-center network switches, including safe firmware upgrades.
• Develops and maintains services that package, store and distribute software and container images for cluster installs and upgrades.
• Designs distributed, highly available services that tolerate node failures and partial upgrades.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and code for correctness, failure handling and testability; provides feedback to improve product quality.
• Develops automated unit, integration and system tests, including fault-injection testing.
• Troubleshoots customer escalations across Kubernetes, Linux networking and network infrastructure; turns findings into fixes.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams on designs spanning multiple components.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
