Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. in San Diego, CA seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement a native Go Identity SDK and related security features.

You will work on client identity verification, security-header injection, and contribute to the Envoy/Go Service Mesh runtime. You will benchmark performance against the legacy Java library, draft migration plans for onboarded assets, and document onboarding guidance for asset teams migrating to the new SDK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering secure, high-performance backend systems.
• Strong problem-solving, system design, communication, and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of a native Go Identity SDK, at parity with current authn-client-lib functionality.
• Client identity verification and downstream security-header injection logic.
• Enablement of CBT validation within the existing Envoy/Go Service Mesh runtime.
• Parity and conformance testing against the legacy Java library across representative traffic patterns.
• Development of a dry-run, progressive-rollout, instant-rollback migration plan for onboarded assets.
• Performance/latency benchmarking of the Go SDK versus the existing Java implementation.
• Documentation and onboarding guidance for asset teams migrating to the new SDK
