Job summary

Bonapolia is seeking a Senior Go Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services. You will tackle high-load distributed systems, implement gRPC communication, and coach teammates on architecture and testing.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, strong Go skills, and deep knowledge of SQL databases and cloud-native stacks (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS). You will work with cross-functional teams and participate in agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production backend engineering experience and complex product development.
• Strong Go expertise: concurrency, synchronization, context propagation, goroutine lifecycle management, and graceful shutdown.
• Experience with high-load distributed systems and microservice architecture.
• Strong SQL and data modelling: schema design, joins, indexes, query analysis, replication, partitioning, and sharding.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and Redis caching strategies.
• Sync/async inter-service communication using gRPC and message brokers, including delivery guarantees and idempotency.
• Observability: metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and Go profiling.
• Understanding of NFRs, SLA/SLO/SLI, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
• Maintainable, testable code; unit/integration testing; Git and code review workflows.
