Job summary

Liftoff is looking for a Software Engineer to help build and scale its AI-powered performance marketing platform for mobile apps. You will own projects end-to-end, ship code rapidly, and contribute to an engineering culture focused on quality, tooling, and measurable impact.

Qualifications include a CS degree and 5+ years in software engineering, with strong fundamentals and cloud experience. Remote work is supported within Liftoff’s listed US states, with base compensation varying by location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 5+ years software engineering experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, architecting systems).
• Experience with any major cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience building high-scale distributed systems and backend architectures.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and get things done.
• Genuine interest and/or experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex distributed systems problems.
• Nice to have: Kafka expertise; data domain experience.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of projects and work with a small team of engineers.
• Ship code multiple times a day and measure impact on users and revenue.
• Contribute to engineering excellence through modern tooling, testing, and code review.
• Become an authority in Go and other cutting-edge open-source technologies.
• Join a nimble, experienced engineering team and help scale Liftoff's infrastructure.
