Job summary

Fastly, Inc. is seeking a full-time backend engineer to join the Security Products group. You will develop web applications primarily in Go and contribute to backend systems that power large-scale, security-focused services for our customers.

You will write clean, modular code, participate in reviews, and collaborate across technical and product teams. A strong background in Go, Linux, networking, and Kubernetes will help you succeed in this distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• Strong Linux, automation and shell scripting skills.
• Experience developing backend systems in Go.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team developing backend systems for large scale web applications in Go.
• Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements.
• Coordinate and communicate with team members and across product groups.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation and team processes.
• Code optimization and performance tuning.
