Job summary

PubMatic is seeking a backend engineer to design, implement, and scale high-performance Golang services on Linux/UNIX in a hybrid work setting. You will own modules, write clean code, and participate in Agile processes with a team of experienced engineers.

The role emphasizes scalable architectures, effective problem solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable features and improve system performance. A BS in engineering or CS/IT is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or engineering from a recognized university.
• At least 4 years of Go development in Linux/UNIX environments; Java is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures; ability to build scalable backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services in Go on Linux/UNIX.
• Apply best practices, ensure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality code.
• Own one or more functionality modules and coordinate with Agile teams.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
