Job summary

Kingbee Vans in West Valley City, Utah is seeking an experienced Go backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Golang services running on Linux. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience with Go (Golang).
• Proven experience building backend microservices on Linux servers.
• Strong PostgreSQL database expertise, including migrations and schema changes.
• Experience with gRPC and Protobuf for inter-service communication.
• Experience with Redis caching and event-driven pub-sub systems (NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Proactive collaboration with QA, management, and clients; strong written and spoken US English.
• Nice-to-have: Helm deployments in GKE or Google Cloud; observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Golang backend services to meet requirements.
• Build and maintain backend microservices, including new services architected from scratch.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and management for code reviews and testing.
• Plan and execute database migrations and schema changes with corresponding code updates.
• Follow best practices for source control, testing, and release processes.
• Communicate with clients to address issues and provide status updates.
• Track work using the team’s project management tools.
