Job summary

Bonapolia is seeking a Senior Go Developer to architect and implement robust backend services for a ride-hailing platform. You will work on high-load distributed systems, leveraging Go, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL databases to deliver scalable features.

You will mentor peers, contribute to observability practices, code reviews, and collaborate across teams to ship reliable production systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial backend engineering experience.
• Strong Go expertise with concurrency, context propagation, and goroutine lifecycles.
• Experience building high-load distributed systems.
• Product development experience with complex logic.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills; schema design and optimization.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Caching expertise with Redis and related strategies.
• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous inter-service communication (gRPC, messaging).
• Deep understanding of microservice architectures.
• Observability practices including metrics, logging, tracing, and pprof.
• Knowledge of non-functional requirements (SLA/SLO/SLI).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
• Ability to write maintainable, tested code with unit/integration tests.
• Proficiency with Git and modern code review workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services.
• Drive architecture design and backend feature implementation.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and raise technical standards.
• Write clean, testable code per company standards.
• Own the backend lifecycle: delivery, monitoring, maintenance in production.
• Set up observability infrastructure: metrics, logging, dashboards, tracing.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices.
