Job summary

Mirantis is seeking a backend engineer to build Go services behind the k0rdent-ai platform, providing a multi-tenant control plane for enterprise GPU infrastructure. You will own end-to-end features, including API contracts, services, orchestration, tests, and packaging, collaborating with teams across the US, Europe, and India.

You should have strong Go fundamentals, experience with REST APIs, and a willingness to learn the rest of our stack in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, and how HTTP and databases work.
• 4–5 years of professional software engineering, including 2–3+ years building production backend services in Go.
• Experience building and shipping REST APIs with versioning and backward compatibility.
• Strong relational database skills and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build Go microservices for the k0rdent AI platform and multi-tenant control plane.
• Design REST APIs using OpenAPI and create multi-language SDKs.
• Implement durable orchestration with Temporal (idempotency, retries, timeouts).
• Develop event-driven, asynchronous communication across services.
• Enforce authentication/authorization via IAM, OIDC/JWT, RBAC, and gateway routing.
• Contribute to identity models and SCIM provisioning.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; ensure production observability.
• Package services with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes; review peer code and debug incidents.
