Job summary

You will distill complex models into surrogate versions, support rapid studies, and maintain the central simulation environment, working with vendors and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and C programming language.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, modify, and develop high-fidelity simulations of electromechanical actuators and sensors.
• Tune and validate simulations against actual testbed data for accuracy.
• Use high-fidelity models to drive risk reduction and establish technical requirements.
• Create and maintain low-fidelity surrogate models for larger system simulations.
• Perform rapid-turnaround studies (2–3 weeks) and present results with plots and slides.
• Maintain the project’s primary simulation environment for stability across stakeholders.
• Engage with external vendors and hardware suppliers to reflect hardware/software specs.
• Be a flexible, multi-role contributor within a small team and communicate complex data clearly.
