Castelion Corporation seeks a Senior GNC Engineer (Navigation) to develop and validate high-speed navigation algorithms for hypersonic vehicles. You will fuse data from IMUs, star trackers, GNSS, and other sensors, and implement EKF-based multi-sensor fusion in a real-time environment.

You will collaborate with avionics, flight sciences, and software teams, perform simulations and HIL tests, and mentor junior engineers while shaping mission-critical navigation solutions with potential clearance

Competenze

Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in aerospace or related field.
5+ years of navigation algorithm development and validation in aerospace or high-performance systems.
Strong background in estimation theory and EKF with multi-sensor fusion.
Experience with INS and integration with GNSS or star trackers.
Knowledge of alt-nav techniques for GPS-denied environments.
Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent.
Experience with 3DOF/6DOF simulations and real-time nav algorithms.
Understanding sensor error modeling and calibration.
Familiarity with flight software integration and embedded systems.
Strong problem-solving in fast-paced hardware-rich settings.

Mansioni

Design and develop navigation algorithms for high-speed flight vehicles.
Develop multi-sensor fusion using EKF and related estimation techniques.
Integrate data from IMUs, star trackers, GNSS, and other sensors.
Collaborate with avionics and flight software teams for real-time embedded deployments.
Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis of navigation performance under GPS-denied conditions.
Support HIL testing, flight testing, and post-flight analysis.
Characterize sensor performance and inform filter design and tuning.
Develop tools/frameworks for algorithm development, verification, and validation.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices.
Partner with program leadership on technical trades.
