Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Electronics Engineer to lead GNC hardware development for an avionics product in a world-class Integrated Product Development environment.

The role requires overseeing the THAAD Guidance, Navigation and Control hardware teams, ensuring supplier alignment, and driving hardware design across infrared seekers, DSP, IMU, and actuation systems. A DoD clearance is required and a 9x80 work schedule in Sunnyvale, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience working with external vendors and diverse internal stakeholders.
• High-reliability electronics lifecycle experience, including production and post-production support.
• Experience as a hardware engineer or equivalent with technical leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and development of THAAD GNC products.
• Facilitate formal design reviews and development testing.
• Lead hardware qualification and discrepancy resolution for complex electronic systems.
• Support producibility, affordability, performance improvements and obsolescence-driven redesigns.
