Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer IV (Staff) to lead the GNC subsystem efforts for multiple satellite buses including LM400 and LM2100. You will design, analyze, and optimize GNC dynamics and work with MATLAB/Simulink, C++, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires subject matter expertise in spacecraft controller design, and a track record of simulating and validating complex GNC algorithms across mission

Qualifications

• Subject Matter Expertise in spacecraft controller design and optimization.
• Experience in developing and verifying performance of simulation models using MATLAB/Simulink and C++.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize GNC subsystem dynamics and control systems using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Develop and verify high-fidelity simulation models in MATLAB/Simulink and C++ environments.
• Support system integration, test, and verification activities to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through the program life cycle.
• Contribute to mission operations and post-launch performance assessments as needed.
• Lead small team of engineers to meet program milestones and design reviews.
• Own the GNC subsystem output including plans for PDR, CDR, SIQT, Delivery and Launch.
