Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience in Matlab, Simulink and the C programming language.
• Experience developing clear and adaptable models of complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience delivering professional presentations.
• Experience working directly with external vendors and hardware suppliers.
• Active and transferable TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship are required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• High-fidelity modeling of electromechanical actuators and sensors.
• Distill complex models into low-fidelity surrogate versions for system simulations.
• Provide rapid-turnaround study results for sponsors and maintain high-fidelity simulations infrastructure.
• Validate simulations against testbed data to ensure physical accuracy.
• Collaborate with vendors and ensure hardware/software specs are reflected in models.
• Translate simulation data into clear plots and PowerPoint presentations.
