Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior GMS Application Software Development Engineer to design and develop software for Generation Management System (GMS) applications. You will collaborate with customers to configure applications, ensuring seamless integration with SCADA/EMS/GMS and other IT/OT systems, and participate in testing with customers to meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

Master's/PhD in Power Systems, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; 4–10 years in software development.
Proficiency with C/C++ and FORTRAN.
Strong background in numerical analysis, optimization, and power system modeling is a plus.
Experience with Generation Management System Applications (GMS) and related domains is desirable.

Responsibilities

Design and develop software solutions for GMS applications, enhancing functionality and performance.
Configure applications with customer requirements and ensure robust integration with SCADA/EMS/GMS systems.
Develop and execute test plans with customers to verify system conformance to requirements.
Provide training to customers on GMS functions and coordinate resolution of technical issues with the team.
Support proposals and tendering teams to help prepare high-quality bids.
