Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to provide equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance in aseptic and clean room environments across operations areas.

You will work in a 12-hour day shift (6:00am–6:00pm) on a 2-2-3 rotation, joining a collaborative team to support manufacturing uptime and compliance with cGMP standards. You will perform complex maintenance tasks, document activities in SAP and related systems, and coordinate with Production, Technical Operations,

Qualifications

• Education minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Technical School Diploma or Associate Degree.
• Minimum four years of equipment maintenance or related experience.
• Computer fluency including DeltaV knowledge.
• Experience in a clean room or GMP/regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience working on Clean Utility systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Anticipate and solve complex production, maintenance, and operational problems, including after hours.
• Provide strong problem-solving leadership across shifts and teams.
• Perform predictive maintenance and reliability tasks as assigned.
• Document work using SAP and related systems; ensure accuracy of records and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and training to others; participate in new equipment installations and vendor interfacing.
