Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking an experienced Principal Facilities Engineer to support critical facility and utility systems at our New Albany, Ohio site, a regulated manufacturing environment operating under cGMP requirements. The role is the on-site engineering authority during the Wed–Sun shift, collaborating closely with Maintenance to resolve issues.

You will review design drawings, support commissioning (IQ/OQ/PQ), and ensure systems remain qualified and compliant with FDA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
• 8–10 years facilities engineering experience in GMP-regulated environment
• Knowledge of cGMP and FDA 21 CFR Part 210/211
• Experience with critical building systems (HVAC, electrical, water, EMS, BAS)
• Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specs
• PM program coordination and contractor management
• Able to work Wed–Sun 2:00 PM–10:00 PM and on-call emergencies

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site engineering for facility systems during Wed–Sun shift.
• Review and redline drawings, P&IDs, specifications for projects.
• Engage with HVAC design during construction and system selection.
• Perform psychrometric analysis to validate HVAC capacity and performance.
• Develop design standards and basis-of-design documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors to optimize equipment and reliability.
• Oversee installation, IQ/OQ/PQ, and commissioning of systems.
• Ensure cGMP compliance and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain PM contracts and CMMS work orders.
• Coach maintenance technicians on shift and lead RCA investigations.
• Manage change control for modifications to facility systems.
