Job summary

Comrise is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer for a biologics manufacturing site in Pennington, NJ. You will manage SCADA, PLCs, and QC lab instruments, handling installation, maintenance, validation, change control, and retirement of systems.

This onsite role requires GMP experience, a B.S. in a related field, 8–10 years of experience, and hands-on FactoryTalk View SE expertise. Core hours 9:00–15:00, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on FactoryTalk View SE experience.
• GMP-regulated environment experience.

Job description

This role is for industrial/manufacturing automation (SCADA, PLC) in a regulated biotech environment. It is not a software test automation or RPA role.

About the Role

Our client, a biologics manufacturing site, is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to manage and support the site’s automation systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and QC lab instruments. You will handle installation, maintenance, backups, change control, validation, and system retirement, working closely with IT, Manufacturing, Engineering, QC, and QA.

Work Schedule

• Fully onsite in Pennington, NJ
• Core hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support SCADA, PLC, and lab automation systems
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
• Write and execute validation protocols, reports, and test scripts
• Author change controls and apply patches and upgrades
• Manage user access and create or improve system SOPs
• Evaluate and integrate new bioprocess equipment

Must-Have Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 8–10 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on FactoryTalk View SE
• Prior experience in a GMP-regulated environment
