Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a GLP Study Director to lead internally conducted toxicology studies and serve as the external sponsor monitor for CRO-conducted work. The role ensures top-tier quality and regulatory compliance, with accountability for GLP reports and regulatory filings.

You will communicate findings clearly through reports and presentations. The position supports AbbVie’s development programs with robust toxicology strategies, collaborating with multiple teams to align with FDA, ICH, and OECD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with typically 10 years of experience.
• Master’s Degree or equivalent with typically 8 years of experience.
• PhD in Toxicology with or without post-doctoral training.

Responsibilities

• Function as GLP Study Director for internally conducted toxicology studies (80%) and external sponsor monitor for studies at CROs (<20%).
• Ensure high standards of quality and regulatory compliance in study conduct and reporting.
• Responsible for GLP report authorship, including writing and reviewing toxicology study reports and filing documents for regulatory submissions.
• Design, conduct and report toxicology studies aligned with development plans and regulatory expectations.
