Placements24 is seeking an experienced Trade Finance Specialist to join their international trade team in East London. You will handle trade finance transactions, assess risks, and provide expert guidance to clients.

You will ensure compliance with sanctions and AML/KYC rules, liaise with banks and clients, and stay abreast of regulatory changes. This role offers exposure to complex global deals and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, IB, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in trade finance operations or related banking role.
• In-depth knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP and trade practices.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and sanctions.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage trade finance instruments, including letters of credit, documentary collections, and bank guarantees.
• Assess and mitigate risks in international trade transactions, including country, currency, and counterparty risk.
• Advise clients on trade finance solutions to optimize imports and exports.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, sanctions, and AML/KYC requirements.
• Liaise with correspondent banks, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution of transactions.
• Monitor market developments and regulatory changes impacting trade finance.
