Job summary

Medtronic plc is seeking a Sr. Compliance Manager for Global Trade Legal & Compliance in the U.S. This role leads the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Medtronic's global trade compliance program across geographies, overseeing policies, training, and controls.

Based in Minneapolis, MN; Washington, D.C.; or near a Medtronic site, reporting to the Director of Global Trade Legal & Compliance. Strong governance and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree with 7+ years of global trade compliance experience in a large, complex corporate environment.
• Experience with import/export controls, sanctions, investigations or disclosures, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and continuous improvement of the global trade compliance program across businesses and geographies.
• Maintain policies, procedures, training, and governance reflecting current legal requirements and risks.
• Identify and mitigate material trade compliance risks in partnership with stakeholders.
• Establish controls, remediation plans, and program metrics for audit readiness and ongoing compliance.
• Lead or coordinate responses to investigations, potential violations, and disclosures in alignment with counsel.
• Provide strategic trade compliance guidance for business development activities and due diligence.
• Deliver concise, decision-ready guidance to senior leaders and ensure consistent execution.
