Job summary

Bloom Energy, headquartered in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager to lead strategic sourcing and procurement for direct materials, partnering with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Finance on NPI, ramp-ups, and global growth.

The role focuses on uninterrupted supply, supplier development, and continuous improvement while ensuring ESG and trade compliance. Experience with ERP systems and global supplier management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management is required.
• MBA in Operations or Supply Chain is preferred.
• Certifications (CPSM, CIPS, APICS/ASCM) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uninterrupted supply of production materials to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Manage long-lead and critical commodities.
• Resolve material shortages, supplier escalations, and logistics issues.
• Optimize inventory while maintaining production continuity.
• Partner with Engineering during NPI to source new technologies and components.
• Coordinate with Supplier Quality to resolve quality issues and improve supplier capability.
• Lead and mentor procurement professionals.
