Job summary

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), a listed private equity holding company, seeks a senior procurement professional to lead strategic and operational sourcing of feedstocks and intermediates in the chemical sector.

You will develop sourcing strategies to boost cost competitiveness, supply security and supplier diversification. You will conduct market analyses, negotiate long-term agreements with producers/distributors, and deliver tangible financial impact through supplier

Qualifications

• Degree in business, economics, engineering, supply chain, or related field.
• At least 6 years of chemical-sector procurement experience with leading initiatives.
• Strong upstream chemical supply-chain knowledge and complex contract negotiation ability.
• Analytical, hands-on and entrepreneurial mindset with good problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel up to 4 days per week in the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic, operational sourcing of feedstocks and intermediates across oxo-chemicals, aromatics, carbonyls, and polymer precursors.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to improve cost competitiveness, supply security and supplier diversification.
• Conduct market, cost-structure and price analyses for feedstocks and intermediates with commodity-driven dynamics.
• Negotiate long-term agreements with producers and distributors, including indexation and risk mitigation.
• Deliver financial impact through supplier consolidation, process optimization and better terms.
• Partner with cross-functional restructuring team to align decisions and ensure execution of procurement initiatives.
