Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cyber Threat Analyst for Global Threat Analysis (GTA) within its Federal Strategic Cyber program, located onsite in Arlington, VA. The role emphasizes regional threat expertise, OSINT-driven insights, and briefing senior leaders on cyber risks to USG personnel and critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in malware analysis, historical threat activity, and familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK/Cyber Kill Chain. A Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience; 7 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD.
• Certifications: CASP+ CE; CCNP Security; CEH; CFR; CHFI; CISA; CISSP (or Associate); Cloud+; CND; CySA+; GCED; GCIH; GICSP; SSCP.
• Strong writing and briefing skills; experience delivering reports to senior leadership.
• Expertise in adversarial cyber actors, historical activity, and current threat landscape.
• Experience researching classified systems and using OSINT resources.
• Knowledge of how USG personnel are targeted domestically and overseas by cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cyber threats from state and non-state actors and identify TTPs.
• Conduct in-depth OSINT research to assess emerging threats.
• Provide cybersecurity briefings and consultations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Monitor adversarial activity and its implications for USG personnel and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with partners to improve situational awareness and cybersecurity posture.
• Assess malware, intrusion techniques, and exploit trends.
• Maintain knowledge of global threats and actors with strategic impact on U.S. interests.
