Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in communications, journalism, English or related field.
• Experience in business communications, journalism, PR, and communications in life sciences or healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Some experience in stakeholder management preferred.
• Proven performance in earlier role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication needs and plans for stakeholder teams and leadership.
• Develop comprehensive communication strategies for major departmental and organizational initiatives.
• Leverage a creative and compelling array of communications including presentations, email, newsletters, announcements, information sheets, application brochures, articles and videos.
• Recommend methods of communication to ensure all relevant information is conveyed to identified populations.
• Serve as a communication expert for key stakeholder departments and other areas of the institution, offering guidance on style, branding, visual layout, wording and methods of communication.
• Work with external vendors to support projects and monitor progress to ensure the institution’s needs are supported.
• Evaluate new media to produce innovative, effective internal campaigns.
• Keep track of project activities and ensure alignment with quality guidelines, timelines and objectives.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced colleagues on routine processes and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet department and institution goals.
