Job summary

Source Desk Global seeks an experienced accountant to handle month-end closing, financial statements, and daily bookkeeping for international clients from our Kolkata, India office.

The ideal candidate has a university degree or accounting designation, strong English, and experience with audit and taxation. This full-time role requires evening shifts (NA time) and a high level of accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of audit and taxation processes.
• University degree or accounting designation.
• Strong numerical data handling and attention to detail.
• Highly accurate and responsible for accounting issues.
• Strong work ethic; able to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Experience in a public accounting firm is a plus.
• Willing to work evening shift (2:00 PM–11:00 PM) Mon–Fri.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
• Day-to-day bookkeeping for US/Canadian clients.
• Reconcile accounts (Bank, Cash, Vendors, Customers).
• Account up to finalization of Balance Sheet/Accounts.
• Invoice booking and payments for vendors and expenses.
• Maintain receipts and transactions from all branches.
• Update day-to-day accounting entries in systems.
• Prepare debit/credit notes and aging reports for management.
• Update daily bank transactions for all banks.
• Manage AP/AR, cash, vendor bills, and invoicing.
