Job summary

AviHire is seeking a skilled aviation maintenance professional in Florida with an active FAA A&P certification and jet experience. You will lead maintenance projects, diagnose complex issues, and mentor junior mechanics across on-site and deployed locations.

Travel is required, including OCONUS rotations, with strict safety and DoD compliance. A passport, security clearance, and ability to work extended hours are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Business jet experience.
• Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
• Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
• Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
• Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
• Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
• Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
• Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
• An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance projects.
• Mentor and guide junior mechanics.
• Conduct complex diagnostics and repairs.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and compliant with standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Promote and enforce safety protocols.
