Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a GL Accounting Manager for a full-time role in San Jose, CA. You will lead general ledger operations, close processes, and supervise accounting staff to ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with GAAP expertise, ERP proficiency, and strong leadership capabilities to drive process improvements and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required or equivalent.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience, including GL and close.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with audits and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee complex reconciliations across general and subsidiary ledgers.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes with schedules.
• Coordinate audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
