Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking a Transmission GIS Mapper to provide GIS-based mapping services for the transmission and high pressure distribution divisions. The role requires collecting, maintaining, and mapping data within the GIS database, including linear assets and events.

Knowledge of TIMP, HCAs, Class Locations, and regulatory standards is essential for accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities include updating spatial data from field operations, interpreting drawings and documentation, and

Qualifications

• Preferred Associate’s Degree in GIS or related field.
• Two to four years of relevant GIS experience; Minimum one year.
• Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings, right-of-way data, maps, and legal descriptions.
• Experience with ESRI desktop software and Maximo.
• Fluency in reading and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain gas system spatial data using GIS.
• Analyze engineering drawings, material sheets, CAD for completeness.
• Coordinate with operations to resolve source documentation issues.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned as needed.
