Job summary

Educology Solutions seeks a Senior GIS Programmer / Systems Analyst to develop and support GIS applications for the County's Office of Information Technology and related offices. You will migrate a custom ArcMap Add-In to a modern ArcGIS Pro Add-In, enabling advanced spatial analysis for an Agricultural Preservation Model.

Responsibilities include enterprise GIS development, data management, and rigorous code reviews, with emphasis on documentation and planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and modifying applications using J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, and Python.
• 3+ years hands-on with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS APIs, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Esri SDKs, and ArcSDE.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python scripting.
• Strong SQL skills including triggers and stored procedures.
• Experience with BI and spatial reports using SSRS and Power BI.
• Relational database knowledge, preference for Oracle or SQL Server.

Job description

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior GIS Programmer / Systems Analyst to provide application development and technical support for our Customer's Office of Information Technology (GIS Program) and the Office of Planning

The primary objective of this role is to assist in the upgrade and development of an Agricultural Preservation Model. You will be responsible for migrating and upgrading the County's current custom ArcMap Add-In (built with C# and Python) into a modern ArcGIS Pro Add-In.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Application Development: Perform advanced GIS application development within an Enterprise GIS environment
• Code Management: Conduct rigorous code reviews, comprehensive technical documentation, and strategic development planning
• Database Management: Oversee and execute spatial database development and integration.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience developing and modifying applications utilizing J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, and Python.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS technologies, specifically including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS APIs, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Esri SDKs, and ArcSDE
• Demonstrated proficiency with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python scripting
• Strong practical knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Triggers, and Stored Procedures
• Experience developing business intelligence and spatial reports using SSRS and Power BI
• Deep understanding of relational database concepts, with a preference for Oracle or SQL Server
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
• Five (5) years of experience in systems analysis, change management analysis, project management, program analysis, or a closely related discipline
• Recent and relevant engagement working with a government entity
