Job summary

ASSYST is seeking a Senior GIS Programmer in Towson, Maryland, a hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). You will support GIS modernization and integration efforts for our client.

Responsibilities include developing ArcGIS Server web apps, integrating Cityworks, and upgrading legacy tools in C#, .NET, and ArcObjects. Strong SQL/SSRS reporting and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and modifying applications using C#, JavaScript, Python, HTML, .NET, and J2EE.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS APIs (including JavaScript API), ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, Collector, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Mobile, and ModelBuilder.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, triggers, stored procedures, and relational database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle preferred).
• Hands‑on experience developing reports using SSRS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Esri Stack: Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS APIs (including JavaScript API), ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, Collector, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Mobile, and ModelBuilder.
• Database & Querying: Strong proficiency in SQL, triggers, stored procedures, and relational database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle preferred).
• Reporting: Hands‑on experience developing reports using SSRS.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of background in systems analysis, change management analysis, project management, or program analysis.
• Recent experience supporting a state or local government entity.
