Job summary

Michigan State University Extension, MNFI, and the MSU community seek a GIS Analyst to advance biodiversity modeling and management of spatial data. You will lead enterprise GIS initiatives, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with MNFI staff, partners, and state agencies across Michigan.

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, computer science, information systems, or related field.
Three to five years of GIS, information technology, database administration, or biodiversity informatics experience.
Experience leading GIS, database, or information technology projects.

Responsibilities

Lead geospatial analysis and biodiversity data management projects.
Administration of databases and GIS systems.
Develop applications, APIs, and integration workflows.
Plan and implement cloud-based GIS solutions and enterprise workflows.
Provide technical leadership for MNFI staff and partners.
