GIS Analyst

Hybrid work schedule: Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week
upon start. Wednesdays and Thursdays are required on-site days and
cannot be altered.
Lansing, Michigan (Candidates MUST be local to Lansing, Michigan area)
The candidate will serve as a GIS Analyst supporting multiple highly
complex applications primarily for the Department of Environment, Great
Lake, and Energy (EGLE) They will collaborate with the development
providing advice and guidance, as needed, to development staff while
working closely with Project Managers to ensure project quality,
milestones, and deadlines are met. They will develop solutions and
streamline spatial data needs through the maintenance and modification
of existing web, client server, or mobile applications. Additional
application development support to address needs of the DNR, EGLE, and
MDARD Application Development section may be assigned as needed.
Develop or approve plans for testing and implementation of web-based,
client/server, mobile or data system applications. Evaluate the impact
of new technology, recommend solutions to persistent problems, and serve
as Customer Service liaison to the client and external consultants. Keep
current with changing IT technologies through continuous learning.
Support applications that exist on a wide variety of platforms
including, but not limited to, PC-based, Web-based, and Mobile. Legacy
application development and maintenance may require knowledge of other
platforms.
