Job summary

City of Westminster is seeking a GIS Analyst/Senior GIS Analyst (Temporary) to operate and maintain the City’s GIS and related information systems. Responsibilities include data management, visualization, and analysis across City departments.

The position is full-time, benefited, temporary for up to 18 months, with a start salary dependent on qualifications. The role requires five years of GIS experience (senior minimum seven years) and proficiency with ArcGIS, SQL, and Python.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher in GIS; five+ years GIS/database experience preferred.
• Must possess valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Experience with GIS data management, QA, and project coordination considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage spatial and non-spatial data in City GIS databases.
• Directly edit, update, and modify GIS data; create new data structures.
• Develop workflows using Python to automate repetitive tasks.
• Create maps, reports, and dashboards that convey the City’s story.
• Support integrations between GIS and other software and databases.
