Job description

A property management firm in Illinois is actively seeking a seasoned professional to join their growing team as their new Senior GIS Analyst.

***This is a remote 6-month position***

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced GIS analysis, data management, and demographic reporting
• Create static maps, dashboards, and interactive 3D visualizations using ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise tools
• Develop and maintain spatial WebApps; publish and manage layers/scenes in ArcGIS Online and Enterprise
• Perform spatial joins and layer integration; generate 3D floorplate extrusions and scene visualizations
• Build 3D models using platforms like SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3DS Max, or Maya
• Utilize core ESRI tools (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, AGOL, Enterprise, Business Analyst) and complementary platforms (Mapbox, Alteryx, Placer.AI, EMSI, Nearmap)
• Automate workflows using Python, JavaScript, ModelBuilder, and Azure; work within IDEs (e.g., VS Code, PyCharm)
• Act as SME for internal GIS processes and systems (AGOL, Enterprise, JIRA, Azure, Microsoft tools)
• Identify and propose solutions for process improvements; lead tech adoption initiatives.
• Lead short-term projects, assign tasks, and mentor junior analysts
• Manage client relationships and deliver high-quality outputs independently

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of related GIS experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or related field
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end GIS projects—from data prep to stakeholder-ready outputs
• Advanced skills in ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, Online, Enterprise); strong grasp of geoprocessing and data integration
• Experience with 3D GIS workflows and modeling platforms for scene visualization
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, JavaScript, ModelBuilder); familiarity with cloud tools (Azure) and IDEs
• Experience with complementary platforms like Mapbox, Alteryx, EMSI, AggData, and Nearmap
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience; able to manage multiple priorities effectively

Desired Skills:

• Experience in a Consulting, Corporate, and/or Government environment
