Job summary

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking a Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst III to join the team. This role will plan, design, conduct, and oversee GIS development and analysis projects, serving as a technical lead in GIS technology and applications.

You will publish GIS web services, lead mobile data collection with Survey123 and Field Maps, and administer ArcGIS Online environments. Strong programming and database skills are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive GIS knowledge including data capture and data conversion.
• Cartographic principles and map production experience.
• Proficiency in GIS programming languages and scripting.
• Database management with SQL Server or geodatabases.
• Experience with Web APIs and GIS web applications.
• Planning, designing, and implementing GIS projects and reporting findings.
• Experience operating and programming GIS software in a work environment.

Responsibilities

• Publish and maintain GIS web services and surveys.
• Lead mobile data collection apps using Survey123, Field Maps, and similar tools.
• Independently write queries and update geodatabases in SQL Server or similar.
• Develop and maintain web applications using ArcGIS Experience Builder or Web AppBuilder.
• Apply project management to develop and follow project work plans.
