Job summary

The Town of Clayton seeks a skilled GIS Analyst to support water, wastewater and stormwater systems. You will collect field data, edit GIS databases, and produce maps and reports for Public Works and Town staff. Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro/Online/Enterprise and AutoCAD is essential.

Experience with GNSS data collection, georeferencing, and web GIS development will be valued. The role is based at Town Hall Clayton, NC, with a focus on accuracy and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geography, GIS, Planning, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Five years of related GIS mapping experience.

Responsibilities

• Update GIS databases for utilities and public works with accuracy.
• Collect field data using GNSS and verify data validity.
• Digitize engineering plans and transfer data into GIS.
• Develop and maintain GIS apps, dashboards, and web maps.
• Create reports, visualizations, and analytical products for decisions.
• Provide advanced technical support to GIS users.
• Assist in GIS training programs.
• Maintain GIS and GNSS software and equipment.
