Job summary

Clayton County Water Authority is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to design and review AutoCAD drawings for water, sewer, and stormwater systems. You will assist customers with inquiries and support project delivery with GIS and CAD tools.

The role involves preparing topographic plans, coordinating with consultants and agencies, and producing documentation for permit submissions and asset management. Strong CAD/GIS skills and detail-oriented work style are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED plus 3 years CAD experience.
• Proficiency with ACAD, Civil3D, ArcMap, MS Office, and MicroStation.
• Ability to learn CCWA policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Creates and prepares drawings (topographical, plan, profile) for water and sewer projects.
• Drafting of engineering plans for large capital projects and associated drawings.
• Assists customers with water and sewer inquiries and meters/taps.
• Coordinates with engineers, consultants, and agencies for project information and compliance.
• Develops designs using AutoCAD or GIS; provides customer-facing information on locations and connectivity.
• Prepares GIS maps and graphics for presentations and project management.
