Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a dynamic GIS Analyst in Houston, TX to provide technical GIS support to clients and TRC staff. The GIS Analyst must have a minimum of 5 years of experience applying GIS technology to answer questions and solve problems.

The GIS Analyst collaborates with project managers, clients, and GIS staff to ensure high-quality GIS support on all projects and stay current with GIS technology developments within TRC's team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or other related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years GIS or related work experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills within a GIS team.

Responsibilities

• General geographic data creation, editing, and analysis.
• Develop and manage enterprise GIS databases, GIS webmaps, and GIS mobile apps.
• Production of figures for environmental reports.
• Query geographic data for information used in reports/proposals.
• Work with data from CAD platforms and other geospatial sources.
• Collaborate with TRC staff to improve project methodologies and deliverables.
• Think critically, see the big picture, and problem solve.
