Job summary

St. Croix County invites applications for a GIS Analyst position (GIS Technician/Analyst I or II) to develop, maintain, and administer the County's GIS and land records systems. The role involves creating and updating maps, data layers, and web apps, providing technical GIS support, and collaborating across departments and stakeholders.

A GIS degree and relevant experience are preferred. The position supports enterprise GIS architecture and advanced applications with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or closely related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years professional GIS experience including spatial analysis and data management.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and supports the County-wide GIS and related GIS infrastructure.
• Creates, updates, and produces maps, datasets, reports, and GIS products for departments and stakeholders.
• Performs spatial analysis and integrates spatial and tabular data from multiple sources for operations and planning.
• Provides technical GIS assistance to departments and users and troubleshoots GIS-related issues.
• Coordinates with the Emergency Communications Center and other stakeholders on addressing and data accuracy.
• Maintains GIS software and systems including ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
• Performs coordinate geometry and land surveying computations to support parcel mapping.
• Edits and maintains GIS tax parcel data using ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric tools.
• Publishes and maintains GIS web services, maps, and applications using ArcGIS technologies.
• Develops automated GIS workflows using ModelBuilder, Arcade, and Python.
