Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a valid compact state license.
• Five years of professional nursing experience required.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to apply the nursing process per the Texas Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced skills in conducting patient physical assessments.
• Coordinate complex medical testing and effectively communicate findings to physicians.
• Safely administer medications and injections per clinic protocols.
• Collaborate with the scheduler to manage referrals, follow-ups, and diagnostic tests.
• Triage patient calls and work with the call center team to address needs.
• Arrange paperwork and logistical details for hospital admissions as directed by the medical provider.
• Follow up on diagnostic tests and laboratory results for provider review and action.
• Process patient referrals to appropriate specialists in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families about GI diseases, procedure preparations, and ongoing care plans.
• Perform GI procedures (ARM, Esophageal Manometry, Digitrapper, Pill Cam) per competency guidelines.
• Perform all other nursing duties within the legal scope of practice.
