Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group in Texas seeks a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join Houston Methodist Cinco Ranch. The physician will diagnose and treat GI disorders, perform endoscopy and related procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

The role includes on-call coverage, thorough documentation, patient education, and participation in a strong academic-medical care environment with comprehensive benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Texas medical license in good standing or eligible to obtain.
• All experience levels welcome (new residents/fellows).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including GERD, IBS, IBD, and liver diseases.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy.
• Evaluate and manage both acute and chronic GI conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Participate in on-call rotation for hospital consults and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and procedures.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care.
