The candidate should hold an MD/DO with ABPN psychiatry, MA license, and ABPN certification; fellowship in geriatric psychiatry or psychosomatic medicine is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ABPN psychiatry residency; geriatric medicine or psychosomatic medicine fellowship preferred.
• Massachusetts Medical License in good standing; must maintain CME for licensure.
• ABPN Psychiatry certification; geriatric psychiatry/psychosomatic medicine preferred; DEA; CPR.

Responsabilités

• Provides psychiatric consultation to primary care teams in long-term chronic care, post-acute, and outpatient settings.
• Performs emergency psychiatric consultation when indicated and ensures safe patient disposition.
• Recommends medications and treatment regimens based on assessed psychiatric conditions.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs and participates in staff education.
