Hebrew SeniorLife seeks a Geriatric Psychiatry nurse practitioner to provide psychiatric consultation and ongoing treatment for long-term chronic care, post-acute, and assisted living settings. The role may include teaching opportunities and collaboration with primary care teams.

You will diagnose and treat adult and geriatric patients using evidence-based approaches, educate patients and staff, and participate in on-call coverage and quality improvement activities.

Formación

• Master's, Post-Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing from a CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA accredited program.
• APRN authorization from MA Board of Registration in Nursing with Independent Prescriptive Authority.
• Massachusetts RN license with ongoing continuing education requirements.
• Federal DEA registration with authority to prescribe controlled substances (II-V).

Responsabilidades

• Provide psychiatric consultation to primary care teams in long-term care, post-acute and assisted living settings.
• Perform emergency psychiatric consultations when needed and assist safe patient dispositions.
• Recommend medications and treatment regimens based on assessed conditions.
• Refer to specialists and multidisciplinary team members to meet patient needs.
