Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer to join its collaborative team in Irvine, CA. This role provides geotechnical analysis and design support, oversight of staff engineers, and client-facing project management across small and large projects.

You will lead field investigations, prepare reports, and supervise construction activities while coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, innovative geotechnical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Master’s degree with Geotechnical emphasis.
• Professional Engineer licensure.
• 6+ years of related Geotechnical experience.
• 3+ years field experience with geotechnical investigations and construction observation.
• Experience in preparing reports, specs, and drawings; client management and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses, design pile elements, and underpinning systems.
• Prepare technical documents and manage proposals, reports, and construction documents.
• Supervise field investigations and earthwork/foundation activities.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules; produce progress and invoice reports.
• Collaborate with clients, staff, and regulatory agencies.
